It’s quite a nice feeling being excited to go to work on a Monday! Now if I was only getting paid :p

Had another good week at the home, nothing major happening but we had some training today to deal with dogs bites! I’ve been bitten once out in the street years ago and I never want to have that again! So it all about learning to look for the signs of early stress in the dogs. Was especially important today as I was on the training block again.

I've been at my placement with Merseyside Dogs Trust for just over 2 weeks now and I've settled in enough to be able to try and write a little blog describing my sandwich year with them and everything else around my life at the time. :D

What an awesome week! I’m now used to the job after being so tired every night last week! (Fell asleep at 8pm on Tuesday!) I'm also no longer getting ill from allergies to the dog hair. Then as another plus I now get Fridays off! In the future I will use them to work my paid job.

First day

First day of dogs trust!

Hurt myself playing roller derby over the summer (I still can’t play) it’s hurting a bit now and I am a bit worried about it getting worse with the all the dogs!

In my first day after all of the health and safety things and the usual showing of where things are I got put on the training block.
